2009 Senior Alumni Luncheon at the Shore : A huge crowd turned out for the St. Benedict's Senior Alumni Luncheon, which is held annually for any alumnus who graduated fifty years or more ago, on Friday, June 12. Nearly 200 alumni and family turned out for the gathering at The Breakers on the Ocean in Spring Lake. Once again, Charles Manger, from the Class of '31, and Henry Lubben, who graduated from St. Benedict's a year later, were the oldest grads on hand. Members of the Class of '49 were there celerating their 60th Reunion, while the Class of '56 had the most attendees, packing two tables at the event.

Communion Breakfast : The Annual Alumni Communion Breakfast was held on Sunday, March 22. Jim Delany ’66 , Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference, was honored as Distinguished Alumnus; Fr. Augustine Curley ’74 as Distinguished Monk/teacher; Honorary Alumnus: Hon. Harold Fullilove Sr., Superior Court Judge and father of Harold ’91, Aaron ’95 and Greg ’00; Honorary Alumna, Shirley Walker, Newark Abbey chef.

End of Summer '09 Reunion : St. Stephen's Green Publick House in Spring Lake Heights was the site for St. Benedict's "End of Summer" Alumni Reunion at the Shore. The event, which was held on Sept. 26, was hosted by St. Stephen's Green owners, Cornelius Durkin '79, Hugh Durkin '73, Murphy Durkin '82 and John Meade '63. Over 40 alumni came out for the afternoon of fine food and engaging conversation.
