2019 Senior Alumni Luncheon
The Senior Alumni Luncheon, for any St. Benedict's alums who graduated from The Hive 50 years ago or more, was held Friday, June 7, in Spring Lake on the Jersey Shore. The event, in its 32nd year, attracted a record crowd of more than 200 for the annual gathering at The Breakers on the Ocean and featured Fr. Edwin’s annual state of the school address followed by Q&A session. Joe Barber, from the Class of '44, was the oldest alum to attend the event.
The Froelich family – Larry ’65, Chris ’72 and Susan were in attendance – were recognized for their support of 2019 graduates Wood-May Joseph, who received the Presidential Award eight days earlier and is headed to Connecticut College, and Boston College-bound Manny Ulysee. Susan Froelich and her colleague at the Clinton Elementary School, Jennifer Latimer, identified the two students five years ago at the South Orange-Maplewood school. The Froelich Family, along with Latimer, hope to continue the tradition of supporting Gray Bee students in the memory of Greg Froelich ’66.
