The Gray Bee crew team opened its fall rowing campaign by placing second in all three events coach Craig White’s team competed at the King's Head Regatta in Bridgeport, Pa. St. Benedict’s had runner-up finishes in the Varsity 8+, the JV 4+ and the JV 8+ races on the Schuylkill River.
The Varsity 8+ team consisting of Savion Lightner, Jose Estrella, Ethan Morris, Paul Jimenez, Michael Okaro, Ivan Jordan, Travis Wright, Julius Lopina-Carpenter and Ryan Clark posted a time of 16:32 to finish behind Montclair. The JV 4+ team of Jerry Miraval, Joshua Viveros, Nicholas Belmonte, Alexis Arriaza and Hunter Farinhas crossed the line in 20:09.62.
The JV 8+ team of Francois Benoit, Noah King, Kevin Alfaro, Mario King, Kevin D'Almieda, Jefferson Pereira, Richard Teran, Oliver DeLeon and Khalid Salaam clocked in at 17:20.34.
