The winter sports teams got their seasons underway with a huge boost from St. Benedict's fan base on Saturday, Nov. 20, with the inaugural staging of “Gray Bee Madness.” All of the teams – wrestling, swimming, track, fencing and basketball – each held intra-squad demonstrations before a host of students, alumni, family and friends. The Pep Rally-type event also featured plenty of food, entertainment by Dr. Jeremy Fletcher’s pep band, including the Drumline, and face-painting. Tom Leahy provided the announcing and tunes in Dalton Gymnasium, while honorary alumnus Tom McCabe '02, who authored a just released book by Fordham University Press entitled, "A Miracle on High Street," held a book signing. The day was all made possible by the superb efforts of event coordinators Kevin Moore, Mary Hauck and Candace Bradsher, along with all the parent organization volunteers who made the day possible.
