Victory Road Building Bridges 2
St. Benedict’s partnered with the New Jersey State Troopers for the second time on Aug. 9-10 for a Wilderness Inspired Leadership Development Expedition in Stokes State Forest, Sussex County. The participants, which included troopers, 20 students from The Hive and members of the U.S. Naval Academy, worked together over the course of 30 hours to complete multiple challenges.
Although the expedition was physically, mentally and emotionally demanding, the troopers and students had a great time creating relationships and getting to know each other in a program designed to “Build Bridges” between law enforcement and communities of color. The expedition has been facilitated by the Victory Road Leadership Development Group and was designed and led by leadership experts from the United States Navy SEALS and special operations community. The program is expected to continue into the Fall Term.
