St. Benedict’s, the second-ranked team in the country, scored just two minutes into the contest and never looked back in upending 27th-ranked Walt Whitman of Maryland, 4-0, on Saturday at Riverfront Park.
Belmar Jospeh scored on a feed from Skylar Cunha in the second minute for the Gray Bees (2-0) before Ransford Gyan scored off a takeaway in the 22nd minute. SBP completed the scoring on second half goals by Fanes Phylder and Gyan.
